One evening, after watching a movie featuring a robot, our daughter turned to us with wide eyes and said, “I want to build a robot!”

While we could have simply bought her a kit and assembled it ourselves, we paused to consider what she would truly gain from the experience if we did all the work. We wanted her to learn, to explore, and to create something with her own hands.

After some research, we discovered LEGO/VEX Robotics, and everything changed. We vividly remember the first time she successfully programmed her robot to move. The look of pure joy and accomplishment on her face was priceless. Through building and programming her own robots using intuitive, drag-and-drop icon-based software, our daughter began to grasp complex concepts in math, science, engineering, and programming—all while having a blast.
