3D - PRINTING AND MODELING WITH AUTODESK SOFTWARE

Course Description:

3D Printing & Engineering - Take objects from your imagination and turn it into reality. Learn how to design simple 3D objects and prepare them for 3D printing with Autodesk software. Students get to take home 3D printed objects from every class.

 

Take home your model to show off to all your friends. You’ll design multiple objects, and take home 3D printed object from every class.

 

 

Ages: 8 - 14

Skill Level : Beg - Adv

Prerequisite: None

Tools : Autodesk Software

In this course, students will:

  • Complete the entire 3D printing process
  • Use best practices for effective 3D print creation and troubleshooting prints
  • Work in 3D space and design 3D models
  • Develop visuospatial abilities

Courses

  • An Introduction to 3D Printing and Design
  • Advanced 3D Printing and Modeling

Students will take home:

  • Project files
  • 3D printed objects

BUILD AN INTERACTIVE ROBOT - KEVIN

Course Description:

Build an Interactive Robot - This summer, learn fun stuff like 3D designing a robot, print your robot design, assemble electronic components in the robot and bring it to life using Arduino, ultrasonic sensors and motors. Program the robot to walk, dance, avoid obstacles and more.

 

 Robots are great tools for learning – encompassing mechanics, electronics, programming and more. There are learning robots for many ages, but is there one for all ages? Kevin tries to come close to this ideal! We worked hard to make Kevin what it is: simple enough for use by elementary schoolers, yet versatile enough to allow even university students to learn new things.

 

 

Ages: 10 - 14

Skill Level : Beg - Adv

Prerequisite: None

Tools : Autodesk Software, Arduino microcontroller, servo motors

In this course, students will:

 • Set up the 3D print process

 • Discover best practices for 3D print creation

 • Understand the engineering design process

 • Learn to work in 3D space

 • Design 3D solid models

 • Arduino and programming

 • USB connect for controlling and coding

 • Understanding sensors, motors and other electronic components
